Student Spotlight:

  • Matthew Schumacher Matthew Schumacher
    is a senior studying Computational Mathematics at Embry-Riddle. After graduating he wants to work for the military or NASA on the moon base project that is expected to be completed by 2020. For his senior project, Matt is exploring turbulent flow using codes developed by Embry-Riddle faculty, and designing an interface that will allow users to explore various flow scenarios. Matt is involved with Touch-N-Go productions on campus as well as MAA and PIKE. He enjoys bladesmithing, reading, and he is also interested in space design and functionality.
  • Cole Nielsen-Cole
    is a dual-degree senior studying Computational Mathematics and
    Engineering Physics at Embry-Riddle. Cole is a non-traditional student
    who came to Embry-Riddle after completing a GED and attending community
    college in California. He isbuilding a quad-rotor helicopter for his senior
    project. Cole loves riding BMX, rock climbing, as well as building and flying model
    helicoptors.
